It knows what it hears
Most monitors only measure how loud the room is, so a fan, a passing truck or a sibling sets them off, and a quiet whimper does not. Sova runs a neural network trained on hundreds of everyday sounds, right on the nursery phone, and listens for the one that matters.
- Recognised on the phone. The AI runs on the nursery phone itself. No sound is sent anywhere to be analysed, and it works without internet.
- Crying, not noise. It keeps crying and screaming apart from babbling, speech, music, a dog, a fan or the hum of the room.
- Anywhere in the room. The AI is very sensitive, so the phone does not have to lie next to the crib. A shelf, a dresser or a spot by the door will do.
- Wakes you only for crying. Babbling shows up as Stirring, so you can see the baby is awake without an alarm.
Two phones, one Wi-Fi
One phone stays in the nursery and listens, anywhere in the room. The other stays with you. Pair them by scanning a code on the nursery phone, and the person next to it lets your phone in.
